Making coffee has an impact on the planet and on the lives of the people who grow it. As coffee makers, the responsible thing to do is to minimize the negative impact we have on the environment and to maximize the positive impact we have on everyone involved. Here are a few ways that we do that:
We work exclusively with specialty coffee importers who prioritize equity, sustainability, and transparency so that we know the coffee we roast benefits everyone in the supply chain.
We invested in an SCE filter on our Giesen roaster to reduce the amount of roasting particles by 90%.
We choose to package our coffee in 100% recyclable boxes from 100% recycled paper.
We are members of 1% For the Planet which means that we donate 1% of our annual sales to a collection of environmental nonprofits creating positive change.
